A favorite dipping sauce for Indian snacks like samosa and bhujias.
Ingredients:
| 1/4 | cup | tamarind paste |
| 1/2 | cup | dates (pitted) |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | chili powder |
| 1 | teaspoon | cumin powder |
| to taste | salt |
Directions:
Soak dates in 1 cup of hot water for about 3 hours. Put the dates and tamarind paste in a blender or food processor and mix well. Add remaining ingredients and mix. You may add a little more water if desired.
