A favorite dipping for Indian snacks like samosa and bhujias.


Ingredients:

1/4 cup tamarind paste
1/2 cup dates (pitted)
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
to taste salt

Directions:
Soak dates in 1 cup of hot water for about 3 hours. Put the dates and tamarind paste in a blender or food processor and mix well. Add remaining ingredients and mix. You may add a little more water if desired.
