You can use a grill or a broiler. This goes great with some rice or even a salad. The Salad Khaak recipe goes very well with it. Or even serve it as an appetizer
Ingredients:
| 15 | shrimp, shelled | |
| 2 | clove | garlic, large paste |
| 2 | tablespoon | sambal oelek |
| 1 | tablespoon | vinegar (rice) |
| 2 | tablespoon | soy sauce |
| 1 | tablespoon | cilantro, minced |
| 2 | teaspoon | sugar |
| 1 | teaspoon | canola oil |
| 1/2 | lime |
Directions:
1. Heat the oil in a small sauce pan on medium high heat.
2. Add the garlic and sambal oelek and cook till nice and fragrant (about 1 minute).
3. Add the vinegar, soy sauce, and sugar.
4. Bring to a simmer and add the cilantro. Cook for another minute and shut.
5. Toss shrimp with the mixture and coat well. You can leave this in the fridge for a bit to marinate if you like.
6. Put the shrimp on skewers, making sure to get the sauce to stay, and grill/broil for 3 minutes on each side.
7. Remove, squeeze plenty of fresh lime juice on them and serve.
